With a decade of experience in the special event business and over 20 years in the food and beverage industry Julie Connolly, Creator of Carte Blanche Events, brings a uniquely rounded perspective to any occasion. Beginning her professional career in events at the infamous Commodore Ballroom, Julie was blessed with the opportunity to work with the best of the best in the industry. More recently she accomplished opening and establishing CANVAS Lounge, the beautiful and multi-purpose venue in Gastown.

Before discovering event production as her vocation Julie garnered the title of Distinction on her Bachelor Degree in Political Science. She’s traveled to over 15 countries throughout the globe and continues to enjoy seeing the world.

Living the balance between Mind, Body & Spirit is Julie’s principal intention. Having a business that inspires her allows for that to become a reality. It is also a driving force behind why clients love to work with Carte Blanche; knowing they can trust their event planner means they can rest a little easier.
